Stargate Universe Box Set
Stargate Universe is the last series in a three part era. Stargate SG1 and Stargate Atlantis were the precursors and Stargate Universe was the last series and also the one that ran for the shortest amount of time. It follows a team that is not able to return to Earth and their battles in a foreign land. Sci Fi is the one that picked up the series for its more popular time and in 2010 they announced that they would not be picking up any more episodes.
Stargate Universe not only trails two other successful series, it is also based on a movie and this has brought an array of fans to the show. Spring of 2011 is projected when the series will end and there are many fans that are taking advantage of this last opportunity to watch the final episodes to see how it all will end. Some fans have been watching from the very beginning, while others are new to the show and are trying to catch up as they go.
Stargate Universe is set on a ship named Destiny and this is an ancient ship that was launched into the Universe millions of years ago. This part of the series focuses on the relationships of people that are on board this spacecraft and this can be very different from the other Stargate series.
The show is also great for veterans that have been watching for many years, but it is also designed to be friendly to newcomers and this allows anyone that his just tuning in for Stargate Universe to feel included and not feels as though they are left out or that they are missing something.
Stargate Universe was nominated for Emmys in 2010 for visual effects and this is an outstanding nomination. The series does not lack in visual effects and Stargate Universe has a budget of around 2 million dollars per episode. This allows nothing to be desired and the viewer may get very enthralled into each episode.
The Stargate Series has become available to watch other ways and this can be done by using your own computer, or box sets are becoming more available. Stargate Universe will be the last installment in a very successful series. This can leave fans feeling a bit sad and confused, but there may be some great spin offs in the future as this has left the door open for a new series to jump out and capture viewers the way Stargate has.
